This is the blog for ARH 365A, a course that explores how film defines ideas about visual artists.
We will also examine the notion of film genre. While these movies can most obviously be called biopics, they also sometimes blur boundaries between established genres.

Going back to Plato's "Ion," discuss the idea of the artist's inspiration as divine madness in relation to "Belly of an Architect," "Artemisia," or "Camille Claudel."
